Abstract
Objective : The purpose of this study is to find out the effect on work independence and quality of life through community adaptation training programs for patients with schizophrenia.

Methods : The study was conducted in the form of a single case report, and after selecting activities that were difficult to perform tasks through COPM, treatment goals were set and client-centered occupational therapy intervention was provided for three months. Clients' self-esteem, depressive symptoms, and quality of life were evaluated through the Self-esteem Scale (RSES), Adult Depression Assessment (CES-D), and Quality of Life Simplified Scale (WHOQOL-BREF).

Results : Before the intervention, COPM performance was 3.33 points and satisfaction was 2.66 points, and after the intervention, performance was 5.0 points and satisfaction was 5.6 points, showing a positive score change. In the quality of life area, self-esteem decreased by 4 points from 66 to 88 points, 20 to 24 points, and depression symptoms decreased by 10 points from 36 to 26.

Conclusion : In the case of schizophrenic patients, occupational therapy intervention through community adaptation training was found to be effective in improving the quality of life and work independence. In addition, we confirmed that it is changing through continuous case management so that you can perform your work independently in your daily life even after the program ends.
